After the end of the previous reservations we received several requests from overseas customers. Therefore we will open reservations once again for both the anime and retro versions, although there are only a few available.

This show started airing 2 months before Mazinger Z, making it the first robot anime to be shown in color. However it was only Masudaya that regularly developed the toys.
It is very difficult to find items from that time due to the show's short broadcast period of six months, and also due to the lack of development at the peak of each series from Popy.
What if it was released after Mazinger and there was more demand for giant robots ...
What if the toys were made by a different toy maker ...
Astroganger, whose toy experience is filled with 'What if's, has been revived as part of the Non-Standard Collection!

With a full color package, Kantaro Hoshi mini sofubi, main item and box all made in Japan.

The color scheme is based on 1970s sofubis which gives it a really distinctive look.
Like the anime version, this is also made in Japan. The box and the Kantaro Hoshi are also different to the anime version.

Points to Note

  • Please follow the procedure on the purchase page from June 22 (Sat) to June 30 (Sun) 2019.
  • If there are more orders than items available, they will be sold by a lottery drawing.
  • You can reserve more than one item, but please bear in mind that you might not be able to get the number requested.
  • Applications received outside of the application period will be considered invalid.
  • Customers who have been selected for purchase will be sent an order confirmation email.
  • Order confirmation emails will be send out after the application period has ended.
  • We plan to begin shipping these out from mid-July.
  • You cannot cancel after you make an application. (※Customers who do cancel may not be able to make further online purchases with Mandarake)
  • Please note that you will not be able to cancel, return or exchange this item.
  • We do a thorough check of each item. However if by chance your item is not in good condition or the incorrect item arrives, we will be glad to exchange it.

  • Please note that these items have slight individual differences between them in terms of paint and coloring.
  • If you need to contact us about your item, please contact us within 3 days of delivery. (※ please be aware that we cannot respond to any requests made after this three day period)
